Aluminum Die Casting

A side view of a die casting machine.   These machines produce the castings (parts).   Our capabilities allow us to manufacture parts as small as a few ounces to 10 pounds.

The Process

The process begins with the melting of aluminum ingot.   From these melters the molten aluminum is transported to holding furnaces at each die casting machine.  The molten metal is then ladled into the machine and under high pressure is forced into the die(mold) held in the machine.   After the metal in the die solidifies (known as the shot) it is removed and then processed further through the trim press operation and subsequent finishing operations.  (slide show)
